WELCOME TO THE LIVECYCLE ES NEXT DEVELOPER CHALLENGE

Adobe is happy to kick off the very first LiveCycle ES developer contest. Since the main driver of the next release of LiveCycle ES is usability and developer productivity, we are really interested in your feedback as well as the applications you are able to build and are holding a contest to see who can build the coolest application. All entries will be judged by a panel of experts with prizes awarded for entries that illustrate the power of combining Rich Internet Application and LiveCycle ES while using as many solution components as possible. Winning entries may be chosen to be showcased at MAX 2009 this Fall.
GETTING STARTED
Getting started is easy...
- Make sure that you have an account at prerelease.adobe.com. If you do not have one, register here.
- Download and install the latest build of LiveCycle ES from the prerelease.adobe.com site.
- Make sure that you review the video content available from the prerelease site to get a head start on all of the new features and changes that have been made in this release.
IMPORTANT DATES
The LiveCycle ES developer challenge begins Monday July 20th. We will be accepting submissions intil Monday, September 31st 5:00 pm EST.
SUBMITTING YOUR ENTRIES
All entries must be packaged in a single zip file that contains the following items:
- Readme.txt file with instalation instructions
- LCA file(s) of you LiveCycle Applications
- Any additional assets such as web application, database tables, etc.
- For additional points, a video recording of your application in action
To submit your entry, send an email to
LCESBetaSupport@adobe.com. We will then provide you with an FTP account to be used to upload your zip file.
JUDGING AND SELECTION OF WINNER
All entries will be judged by a panel of experts for the most compelling use of Rich Internet Application and LiveCycle ES to solve real enterprise business problems. The following criteria will be used to select the winning entries:
- Breadth of use of the LiveCycle ES platform
- Creative use of Flex based applications of user front-ends
- Use of the technology to solve real enterprise class problems
- Depth of use of LiveCycle ES
- Use of new features such as Common Data Model, Guides, Service Discovery, etc
- Extra points will be awarded to those that include a video recording of their application in use
Adobe Employees and their immediate families are not eligible for this contest.
